FULL OF FAITH GREETING:
It's a brand-new day to rejoice and be glad!
God's mercies are new every morning!
The Lord is my shepherd; I have EVERYTHING that I need.
The joy of the Lord is my strength!!
As the Lord welcomes me, I welcome you. You matter!!!
Hello and welcome to the Thursday Zoom meeting.
My name is_______________________.
Whether you are a seasoned old-timer in your faith in Jesus or not sure how you feel about your relationship with God, we are here to love and support you.
There will be ups and downs, but we pray that you don't leave before the miracle happens for you.
If you are wondering how to do "love and service" here, you could come early and volunteer to read or pray.
PREAMBLE:
____________ (name of volunteer) will read our Preamble.
Full of Faith is a Christian support group for food addicts in recovery.
We apply Biblical principles in working the 12-steps, and we do not eat sugar, flour, sweeteners (natural or artificial), and volume one day at a time.
We plan what we eat and eat what we plan.
For more information about the ministry, go to fulloffaith.com.
PRAYER:
____________ (name of the volunteer) will open our meeting by leading us in The Serenity Prayer.
God, grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change...
the courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as the pathway to peace.
Taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it.
Trusting that You will make all things right if I surrender to Your will,
so that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
and supremely happy with You forever in the next.
Amen.
TOOLS:
___________ (name of the volunteer) will now read the tools of Full of Faith.

- Writing (writing your food plan, step study assignments, journaling)
- Action Plan (planning what you do and doing what you plan in all aspects of your life, starting with the daily disciplines, which are the tools of recovery)
- Love and Service (giving back what you've learned and received)
- Anonymity (treating everyone with confidentiality and respect) AND, there is no extra food in the toolbox.
MEETING FOCUS:
At this meeting, we will focus on Recovery from food addiction by hearing the testimony of one of our members (or reading a chapter from XX Book.)
After the Speaker shares, everyone is welcome to share their experience, strength and hope.
SPEAKER:
Today we would like to welcome ___________ to be our speaker and to share their testimony for 15 minutes of what God has done in their life to help them overcome compulsive eating. If the Speaker has agreed, we are going to record the Speaker’s share but turn off the recording when the Speaker is done.
Thank you, __________ (Speaker.)
SHARING:
[Turn off Recorder before Sharing begins.]
Now we will open up the meeting to individual shares.
Here are the Guidelines for Sharing:
- We ask that you limit your shares to 2 to 3 minutes in order to give others an opportunity to share.
- As a gentle reminder, __________ (name of timer Volunteer) will say “time” at 2 and 1/2 minutes, allowing additional time to wrap up your thoughts.
- If the room is quiet, please allow some moments of silence before sharing a second time.
- We refrain from mentioning specific foods by name, as it could trigger food thoughts in others, and there is no crosstalk, which is commenting on another person's share (positive or negative) or giving advice.
- Using "for me" or "I" statements enables everyone to feel safe and protected in the rooms of Full of Faith.
Before we open up the sharing to everyone, we would like to hear from members who have never shared or didn't share last week. Please tell us your name and where you are calling from before and after your share.
CLOSING:
____________ (name of the volunteer) will now pray Paul's Prayer for Spiritual Growth, Ephesians 3:14-21 NLT.)
Paul’s Prayer for Spiritual Growth from Ephesians 3:14-21
- When I think of the wisdom and scope of God's plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.
- I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit.
- And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him.
- May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love.
- And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is.
- May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it.
- Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now glory be to God!
- By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope.
- May he be given glory in the church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever through endless ages. Amen.
QUESTION TIME:
We now move into a brief time (until the top of the hour) where we welcome newcomers and questions, and where people can leave or ask for phone numbers.
If there’s a topic for which you’d like to receive the experience of others, please leave your phone number so members may contact you outside the meeting.
We want to welcome newcomers first and ask if you’d like to be contacted by a Newcomer Greeter (Volunteers) who can help you get acquainted with Full of Faith? Are there any newcomers here today?
Would anyone like to ask a question?
[NOTE: For basic food questions, the facilitator will respond with the general guidelines. For complicated questions, refer people to Pam or Hilary.]
PHONE LIST: The Phone List is on the Facebook page for those looking for a Sponsor or to make Outreach calls.
